In Greek mythology, Hyperion (Greek: Ὑπερίων, 'he who goes before') was one of the twelve Titan children of Gaia (Earth) and Uranus (Sky).With his sister, the Titaness Theia, Hyperion fathered Helios (Sun), Selene (Moon) and Eos (Dawn).
